Legacy rallies to top Mojave

Legacy rushed for 357 yards on the night and held the Mojave to 40 yards of offense in the second half to secure a 27-20 road victory on Friday.
Jordan Pinkney hit Fred Washington with a 28-yard TD pass in the fourth quarter to give Legacy (4-3, 3-2 Northwest) the win.
Legacy’s L.J. McMorris scored on a 75-yard TD in the first quarter, but Trevonte Veal tossed touchdown passes to Bryant Lewis and Joe
Jenkins late in the half to give the Rattlers (0-6, 0-5) a 12-7 halftime lead.
The Longhorns opened the second half with a 73-yard drive capped by Lamarus Williams’ 31-yard TD run. Legacy then recovered an onside kick, which led to a 9-yard TD run by McMorris.
Veal added a 20-yard TD pass to Lewis to tie the game, but Legacy answered on the following drive with the go-ahead score.
McMorris finished with 132 yards on 20 carries, and Jordan Ireland added 123 yards on 17 attempts.
