Kirby racks up 283 yards as Muckers top Knights

Tonopah's Cedric Kirby piled up 283 yards and four touchdowns to guide the Muckers (4-2, 1-1 1A Southern) to a 58-25 home win over Round Mountain (2-4, 0-3) on Friday.

Kirby’s scoring runs went for 10, 13, 49 and 8 yards. David McGraw supplied 104 yards on the ground, including TDs of 24 and 56 yards, and also caught a 25-yard scoring pass from Seth Littlefield.

Tonopah gained 403 yards rushing, and Littlefield added 99 on 6-of-7 passing. Spencer Littlefield added a 22-yard TD pass to Derek Otero.

Josh Moore made 23 tackles and two sacks for the Muckers.

Sergio Chavez led Round Mountain with 119 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries, and also kicked a 26-yard field goal.
