Sierra Vista's Dontrell Hall scored on a 2-yard run with 2:02 to play and ran for the 2-point conversion to cap a furious rally from a 28-0 deficit as the Mountain Lions (1-6, 1-4 Southwest) edged visiting Western 29-28 on Friday.
Hall ran for 150 yards and three touchdowns. Kimurey Miles added 100 rushing yards and a touchdown.
Brian Mikol’s kickoff return for a touchdown to begin the second half put Western (1-5, 1-4) ahead 28-0. The Warriors were missing seven players who were suspensed for their role in a fight last week against Bonanza.
An interception by Sierra Vista’s Gary Jacobs at the 10-yard line ended Western’s final possession.
