Golden Eagles dominate Muckers

Spring Mountain's Matthew Trapp ran for three touchdowns and caught a pair of TD passes as the Eagles (5-1, 2-1 1A Southern) routed visiting Tonopah 86-26 on Friday.
Trapp scored on runs of 28, 9 and 12 yards and hauled in scoring passes of 56 and 48 yards from Alistair Houpe as Spring Mountain built a 40-6 halftime lead and cruised to the win.
Houpe, who ran for 119 yards and scored on a 50-yard scamper, completed 13 of 20 passes for 281 yards, connecting with Jose Valle on a 58-yard strike. Houpe also returned a punt 64 yards for a touchdown.
Anthony Taylor added touchdown runs of 28, 43 and 6 yards for Spring Mountain.
Seth Littlefield ran for two touchdowns and threw for two more for Tonopah (4-3, 1-2). Littlefield scored on runs of 54 and 28 yards and completed touchdown passes of 18 and 48 yards to Emmitt Davis.
