Fountain Valley dominated the early going, recovering a fumble on Green Valley’s first play and scoring inside the first two minutes, then forcing a Gators punt and marching 90 yards in 19 plays to make it 14-0.
Green Valley got going in the second quarter with touchdown runs by Aaron Love and Elijah Spann, but a 47-yard field by Derek Huynen late in the third padded Fountain Valley’s lead, and ultimately accounted for the margin of victory.
