Falcons score early, cruise past Jaguars

Foothill's Kyle Keplinger scored touchdowns at the beginning of each half to lead the No. 6 Falcons (2-0) past host Desert Pines (0-1) 31-12 on Saturday.
Keplinger had a 2-yard scoring run in the first quarter, and added a 31-yard dash for a TD in the third quarter.
Foothill quarter back Parker Riggin completed 22 of 29 passes for 228 yards, including a 27-yard scoring strike to running back Connor Afoa. Afoa added a 7-yard TD run in the first quarter.
Leon Hayes rushed for 118 yards on nine carries for Desert Pines, including a 65-yard scamper for a TD.
