Elijah Hicks thunders his way to 265 yards in Las Vegas win

Elijah Hicks ran for 265 yards and three touchdowns to power the Las Vegas football team to a 35-16 home victory over Eldorado on Friday.
Hicks rushed for 82 yards on the opening drive for the Wildcats (1-6, 1-1 Northeast League), but it was Cody Summer who finished the drive with a a 4-yard TD run. Hicks scored the first of his three touchdowns on a 5-yard run in the second quarter to give Las Vegas a 14-0 lead.
Eldorado (1-6, 1-2) got on the board late in the first half with an 11-play drive, capped with a 25-yard field goal by Alonzo Rubio. The Wildcats answered immediately, with Miles Davis returning the ensuing kickoff 84 yards for a touchdown to give Las Vegas a 21-3 lead at the half.
Hicks added third-quarter touchdown runs of 5 and 64 yards to give the Wildcats a commanding 35-3 lead that was never threatened.
Eldorado’s Jalen Malone had two interceptions, returning one 50 yards for a score.
