September 7, 2013 - 11:34 pm
Boulder City set the tone on its first possession as Xavier Steel sprinted around right end on a 22-yard run to the Western 1-yard line. The drive stalled, but later the Eagles' offense didn't, as they earned a 58-0 road win over the Warriors on Saturday.
Brooks Roe had a 22-yard TD out as the Eagles took an 8-0 first-quarter lead.
Boulder City (1-1) then exploded during the second quarter, scoring five times. Three of the drives started at or inside the Western 5-yard line, resulting in three touchdowns. The other two scores came on a 41-yard punt return by Steel and a 28-yard run by Sam Woodbury as Boulder City led at the half 45-0.
The bright spot in the game for Western (0-2) came on a 40-yard kickoff return by Miles Snyder in the fourth quarter, but the Warriors fumbled two plays later giving it back to Boulder City.
