Deago Stubbs, Arbor View roll past Cimarron

Junior running back Deago Stubbs scored three receiving touchdowns and rushed for a score on Friday as Arbor View rolled to a 52-0 home win over Cimarron-Memorial.

Stubbs caught TD passes of 44, 17 and 8 yards from quarterback Hayden Bollinger, and added an 8-yard TD run. All four scores came in the first half as the third-ranked Aggies (8-1, 6-0 Northwest League) rolled.

Stubbs scored on a 44-yard pass over the middle on Arbor View’s third play of its opening drive, and his 8-yard scoring run on a reverse to give the Aggies an early 14-0 lead.

Lorenzo Mationg streaked down the left sideline on Arbor View’s third possession for a 47-yard TD scamper, and Stubbs caught two touchdown passes in the second quarter to put the Aggies up 35-0 to begin the running clock with 7:48 left in the first half.

Arbor View’s Cameron Phillips supplied a 40-yard rushing score in the third quarter, and teammate Jesse Triplett added an 8-yard TD rush to round out the scoring with 2:09 remaining in the game.

Aggies’ kicker Carter Andrade was 7-for-7 on point-after attempts, and nailed a 30-yard field goal as time expired in the first half.

Arbor View will host Spring Valley in the first round of the Sunset Region playoffs on Thursday.

The Spartans finished 1-8, and 0-6 in the league.
