Cimarron-Memorial’s Christian Brown rushed for 276 yards and five touchdowns to power the Spartans (4-6, 4-4 Northwest) to a 34-19 road win over Mojave (0-9, 0-8) in the season finale for both teams on Friday.
Brown scored on a 63-yard run on the fourth play from scrimmage and added a 19-yard TD to give the Spartans a 13-0 lead in the first quarter.
Mojave came back with touchdown passes of 26 and 20 yards from Trevonte Veal to Bryant Lewis to tie the game 13-all at halftime.
Veal and Lewis hooked up again for a 27-yard score in the third quarter, but the Spartans’ running game was too strong.
Brown scored on runs of 14, 3 and 37 yards in the second half.
