Bodily, Pirates run by Del Sol

Kaleb Bodily rushed for 216 yards and three touchdowns Thursday to lead Moapa Valley’s football team to a 49-0 win at Del Sol.

Moapa Valley (6-0, 3-0 Sunrise) scored on its first four possessions. Cole Mulcock hauled in six passes for 121 yards and two TDs as the Pirates survived an ankle injury to starting QB Zach Hymas in the first half. Nate Cox filled in admirably, completing 6 of 11 passes for 119 yards, including the scoring tosses to Mulcock.

The Dragons (3-3, 1-3) were led by running back Justin Robinson, who finished with 94 yards on 16 carries.

Moapa Valley went 60 yards in three plays on its first possession. Andrew Huerta found the end zone from 10 yards out to score the game’s first touchdown. Hymas hooked up with R.J. Hubert for 25 yards on the drive.

Forcing Del Sol to punt, the Pirates struck quickly again, as Bodily went around the right end for 59 yards to paydirt. He would add scoring scampers of 29 and 96 yards.

Huerta also had a 55-yard fumble return for a touchdown.
