Outlook: The Chargers got off to a good start last season, winning two of their first three games, but closed the season with five consecutive losses.
Now they hope to improve despite losing some key performers to graduation.
Morris was the team’s top offensive option last season, rushing for 502 yards and catching 18 passes for 448 yards. He scored 12 touchdowns and was a first-team All-Southwest League pick.
Bigby and Veal will have to carry the load on both sides of the ball this season.
Bigby made the All-League first team as an athlete and the second team as a receiver. He had 24 catches for 460 yards and seven TDs.
Bigby also led the team with 62 tackles.
Veal caught seven passes for 96 yards and a touchdown, but had a far bigger impact on defense where he intercepted six passes.
