Key losses: WR/S Jordan Gallegos; WR/OLB Zach Grismanauskas

Outlook: After three consecutive Sunrise Region runner-up finishes, the Wolves slipped to three wins last season.

With plenty of returning lettermen, Basic will look to improve on that mark this season.

Gallegos and Grismanauskas played big roles on both sides of the ball last season, and will be missed. But the Wolves return plenty of other building blocks.

Myro is back for his second season starting at quarterback. He showed flashes, passing for 1,581 yards and 11 TDs. He’ll need to cut down on interceptions this season, as he was picked off 13 times.

McAllister rushed for 570 yards and five TDs and averaged 7.0 yards per carry. He made the All-Southeast League first team and could take on a bigger role on offense.

With Grismanauskas and Gallegos gone, Justice (27 catches, 380 yards, four TDs) should be the top receiving target.

Evans was second on the team with 68 tackles last season and should lead the defense. He was a second-team All-Southeast League pick at inside linebacker. Mays added 64 tackles last fall.

“We have a lot of returners and are looking forward to a good year,” Cahill said.
