Outlook: The Mustangs turned the corner last season, finishing above .500, but still missed out on the postseason.

Shadow Ridge averaged 305 rushing yards last season, but must replace leading rusher Lindsey (1,239 rushing yards, 10 TDs) along with all-league offensive lineman Kekahuna, who played a huge role in opening holes for the running game.

Young (479 rushing yards, four TDs), Nellems (341 rushing yards, six TDs) and Presser (339 rushing yards, four TDs) should help carry the load offensively.

Presser also passed for 501 yards, and will be in his third season at quarterback.

On defense, Smith-Bejgrowicz was a first-team All-Northwest League pick at safety after finishing with 40 tackles. Horlacher is back after leading the team with 59 tackles, and Tuiletufuga led the Mustangs with four sacks.

Nellems also should play a key role on the defensive side as Shadow Ridge looks to earn a playoff berth in a tough league.
