Outlook: The Mustangs lost once to a Southern Nevada team, and it was by one point to the Lincoln County squad that won the league.

With a glut of returning talent, Needles believes it has what it takes to win its first league championship since 2010. Keep an eye on the Oct. 13 home game against Lincoln County, as well as the Sept. 8 road game against Class 3A Boulder City.

“(We) hope to be competitive in the Southern 2A division,” Fromelt said.
