Outlook: Forshee takes over a program coming off a disappointing season. The Bulldogs missed the playoffs for the first time since 2009, and now must replace high-octane offensive weapons Evans and Scarver, who both are at Utah State.
Both were second-team all-state picks last season after accounting for much of the team’s offense. Evans passed for 2,148 yards and 21 TDs, and led the team with 608 rushing yards and 15 TDs. Scarver had 43 catches for 946 yards and eight scores.
Plotnikov takes over at quarterback after attempting just three passes as Evans’ backup last season.
“We will be a young team with many first-year varsity players that have a lot of energy and talent,” Forshee said. “The season will depend on how quickly we progress and how quickly we learn from our mistakes.”
