Outlook: New coach Norton has made several stops as a college assistant, but he's probably never faced a task quite like rebuilding Western's program.
The Warriors haven't made the postseason since 2007, and have technically lost 25 straight games. Their last win was a forfeit against Shadow Ridge on Aug. 31 of 2012. Their last win on the field came on Nov. 5, 2010.
Last year's team scored just 53 points. The Warriors allowed more than that in six games.
Norton knows things won't turn around overnight.
"We look to field a competitive football program that provides a solid foundation for the future of Western football," Norton said.
