Outlook: Pahranagat Valley will be looking to extend its nation-best winning streak (81 games) when it meets Wells on Aug. 28.

The Panthers, who have won seven consecutive state titles, appear to be in position for another strong season behind Tabor Maxwell and Wadsworth, who linked up for four touchdowns in the state final last November against Spring Mountain.

Tabor Maxwell completed 68.3 percent of his passes last season for 2,625 yards and 38 touchdowns. He threw just two interceptions. Wadsworth was the team's best receiver, bringing in 60 receptions for 1,069 yards and 17 scores.

Pahranagat Valley must find a replacement, however, for the do-it-all Leavitt, who accounted for 2,361 yards on offense and led the team in tackles en route to a second-team all-state selection.

Cody Stirling, who finished with 33 tackles a season ago, will be one of the top returning players on defense for the Panthers.

Ken Higbee said: "We have many holes to fill and are looking for our kids to step up and get the job done."
