FLAG FOOTBALL: Williams, Longhorns outlast Diamondbacks

Akia Williams rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries Thursday to help Legacy's flag football team to a 35-34, double-overtime win at Desert Oasis.

Traonna Hamblet rushed for 119 yards and two scores on 11 carries, and teammate Kaila Hackett added a TD run for the Longhorns.

Izriah Hodson rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns for Desert Oasis.

Kylee Bauer completed 17 of 28 passes for 246 yards and a touchdown and ran for a score for the Diamondbacks. Lisia Wolfgram threw a TD pass and caught in a TD pass, and teammate Lilyana Ghamen caught a touchdown pass for Desert Oasis.

Chaparral 36, Moapa Valley 34 — At Chaparral, Kyrah Burrows batted down a 2-point conversion attempt late in the game as the Cowboys held off the Pirates.

Neshaune Franklin rushed for 234 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries, and Krystal Gomez threw a touchdown pass and ran for a score for Chaparral.

Alyssa Porras and Leticia Ibarra each had two interceptions for the Cowboys.

Durango 19, Western 7 — At Western, Alexis Villanueva rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another to lead the Trailblazers by the Warriors.

Villanueva completed 7 of 15 passes for 115 yards, inlcuding a 38-yard TD pass to Claudia Luna. Villanueva also rushed nine times for 98 yards and had TD runs of 62 and 17 yards.

Xochitl Belisle-Chapa threw a touchdown pass to Alejandra Alvarez-Torres for Western.

Virgin Valley 21, Tech 14 — At Mesquite, Madison Cheney caught a touchdown pass as the Bulldogs topped the Roadrunners.

Kari Wakefield had 11 tackles for Virgin Valley.

Boulder City 41, Sunrise Mountain 0 — Jeanne Carmell threw five touchdown passes as the Eagles blanked the Miners.

Carmell completed 20 of 27 passes for 251 yards. Tarah Cox caught six passes for 81 yards and three touchdowns, and Kenadee Bailey caught two TD passes for the Eagles.

Oshanna Remy returned an interception for a score for Boulder City.

Del Sol 25, Desert Pines 7 — At Desert Pines, Kalijah Williams and Vanessa Butorac each returned an interception for a touchdown to lead the Dragons by the Jaguars.

Tarika Poullard had a 10-yard touchdown run, and Alina Marruffo added a 3-yard TD run for Del Sol.

Reina Trujillo rushed for 142 yards on 16 carries for Desert Pines.
