FLAG FOOTBALL: Shelton, Harris run over Mojave in Legacy win
Avi’Ana Shelton rushed for 156 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries Friday to lead Legacy’s flag football team to a 12-0 win over visiting Mojave.
Klarisah Harris added 101 rushing yards and a touchdown for the Longhorns.
Aujaneh Jackson had 11 tackles, three sacks and an interception to lead the Legacy defense.
Eldorado 35, Chaparral 6 — At Eldorado, Keelyn Pacheco rushed for 104 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Sundevils past the Cowboys.
Sophia Johnson rushed for 113 yards to help Eldorado, which led 21-0 at halftime. Teammate Shelby Johnson added 48 rushing yards and two TDs.
Desert Oasis 32, Clark 0 — At Desert Oasis, Kayla Saucedo rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns and caught a TD pass to lead the Diamondbacks over the Chargers.
Kylee Bauer completed 17 of 41 passes for 278 yards and three scores for Desert Oasis. Sydni Aldan had five catches for 118 yards and a touchdown.
Alex Blockovich had six tackles and two interceptions, and Alex Mora recorded three saacks for the Diamondbacks’ defense.
Foothill 41, Tech 0 — At Foothill, Sam Fennell threw for 331 yards and three touchdowns as the Falcons routed the Roadrunners.
Sayonna Thunstrom caught eight passes for 98 yards and two touchdowns, and Korina Bush rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown on five carries for Foothill.
Taeondra Johnson had five tackles, four sacks and an interception to lead the Foothill defense.
Boulder City 33, Liberty 6 — At Liberty, Jeanne Carmell completed 17 of 29 passes for 251 yards and four touchdowns, and added 65 yards rushing and a score as the Eagles defeated the Patriots.
Kinsey Smyth, Mackenzie Pluta, Jollene Gosselin and Cameron Kanaley each caught a TD pass for Boulder City.
Smyth finished with eight catches for 161 receiving yards on offense, and added two interceptions on defense for the Eagles.
