FLAG FOOTBALL: Mustangs claim final Southwest League playoff spot

Victoria Tolle completed 19 of 25 passes for 318 yards and four touchdowns Tuesday to help Shadow Ridge’s flag football team secure the Southwest League’s final spot in the Sunset Region playoffs with a 32-13 win at Palo Verde.

Samantha Milanovich had 235 yards receiving and two TDs for the Mustangs.

Canyon Springs 37, Desert Pines 19 — At Canyon Springs, Tea Rivera threw six touchdown passes to lead the Pioneers by the Jaguars.

Destini Cooper caught two TD passes, and Arielle Strong, Yareli Trujillo, Amaya Youngblood and LaTyana Brown each caught one scoring pass for Canyon Springs.

Tavasha Banks had two touchdowns, and Kiera Haley added a touchdown for Desert Pines.

Durango 31, Moapa Valley 21 — At Durango, Amanda Maloney threw two touchdown passes and ran for two scores to lead the Trailblazers past the Pirates.

Maloney’s 12-yard TD pass to Gisselle Roldan with 42 seconds left sealed the win for Durango, which also got an interception return for a touchdown from Taylor Gray.

Legacy 39, Sierra Vista 6 — At Legacy, Avi’Ana Shelton and Aujaneh Jackson each ran for a score and caught two touchdown passes to help the Longhorns rout the Mountain Lions.

Shelton rushed for 124 yards on 12 carries and caught two passes for 117 yards.

Nicole White and Ariana Witecki each threw two TD passes for Legacy.

Del Sol 31, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Del Sol, the Dragons secured a playoff berth by blanking the Miners.

Cheyenne 32, Spring Valley 22 — At Spring Valley, the Desert Shields topped the Grizzlies.

Michaela Hood tossed touchdown passes to Jozee DeCunzo, Danielle Lopez and Normandie Kniola for Spring Valley.

Silverado 1, Valley 0 — At Valley, the Skyhawks won after the Vikings forfeited the game due to a bench-clearing incident last week against Liberty.

Las Vegas 1, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, the Wildcats won after the Patriots forfeited the game due to a bench-clearing incident last week against Valley.
