FLAG FOOTBALL: Mackey’s overtime TD gives Sierra Vista win over Mojave

Sierra Vista’s Emily Mackey caught a 10-yard touchdown pass on third-and-goal on the first possession of overtime, and the Mountain Lions held on for an 18-12 road win over Mojave.

Sierra Vista stopped the Rattlers on their overtime possession.

Kaelyn Katzen had an 80-yard touchdown run and a 15-yard TD catch for Sierra Vista, which led 6-0 at halftime.

Paige Smith scored on running plays of 80 and 15 yards for Mojave.

Tech 14, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Tech, Katy Orellana threw a touchdown pass and ran for another score to lead the Roadrunners over the Miners.

Orellana’s TD pass to Avery Rayos gave Tech a 7-0 halftime advantage.

It was Tech’s first home win on its new athletic fields.

Shadow Ridge 19, Palo Verde 12 — At Shadow Ridge, Samantha Milanovich caught eight passes for 148 yards and a touchdown as the Mustangs defeated the Panthers.

Victoria Tolle threw for 165 yards and a touchdown and rushed for a score for Shadow Ridge. Jordan Ford rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries for the Mustangs.

Mackensie Norman had seven tackles to lead the Shadow Ridge defense.

Legacy 40, Durango 0 — At Durango, Qaylee Baker-Judie rushed seven times for 82 yards and two touchdowns as the Longhorns routed the Trailblazers.

Baker-Judie scored on runs of 22 and 13 and added five tackles for Legacy, which also got TD runs from Kaila Hackett, Akia Williams and Traonna Hamblett.

Nicole White was 11 of 23 passing for 181 yards and a score for the Longhorns.

Boulder City 39, Virgin Valley 0 — At Boulder City, Jeanne Carmell threw four touchdown passes and had two rushing TDs to lead the Eagles by the Bulldogs.

Carmell completed 17 of 28 passes for 321 yards, including TD passes of 28 and 58 yards to Paige Buettner, 55 yards to Makenzy Waldo and 39 yards to Kenadee Bailey.

Carmell added 49 yards on five carries, scoring on runs of 18 and 17 yards.

Buettner caught four passes for 102 yards, and Waldo had six catches for 96 yards for Boulder City.

Del Sol 33, Chaparral 6 — At Chaparral, Kalijah Williams ran for 152 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries as the Dragons routed the Cowboys.

Xolani Frazier caught two touchdown passes from Lauren Cranor for Del Sol, and teammate Jevishel Delemos also rushed for a touchdown.

Chaparral’s Neshaune Franklin rushed for 88 yards.

Moapa Valley 33, Desert Pines 27 — At Desert Pines, the Pirates edged the Jaguars.

Desert Pines’ Tanaiya Hinton rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries and caught a 42-yard TD pass. Reina Trujillo rushed for 151 yards and a TD on 10 carries for Desert Pines, and quarterback Meleane Ngaue added a TD pass to Kiera Haley.

Spring Valley 34, Western 0 — At Western, the Grizzlies shut out the Warriors.

Cheyenne 39, Clark 6 — At Cheyenne, the Desert Shields rolled past the Chargers.
