FLAG FOOTBALL: Lucero finds Downs late as Cougars upset Sundevils

Heaven Lucero threw a go-ahead 13-yard touchdown pass to Katie Downs with 52 seconds left in regulation Friday to lead Coronado’s flag football team to a 7-6 win over visiting Eldorado.

Ava Bracey added a sack with 14 seconds left to seal the win for the Cougars.

Basic 34, Tech 7 — At Green Valley, Hannah Matsui caught two touchdown passes to lead the Wolves over the Roadrunners.

Matsui hauled in a 60-yard scoring pass from Julie Munoz and a 20-yard TD pass from Annalyse Gonzales. Munoz also had a receiving TD, and Nicole Dirilo added a 4-yard TD run for the Wolves, who led 28-7 at halftime.

Tech’s Avery Rayos caught a 20-yard touchdown pass from Katy Orellana.

Cimarron-Memorial 47, Mojave 19 — At Mojave, Jaymee Luke completed 17 of 28 passes for 186 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 116 yards and a TD as the Spartans rolled by the Rattlers.

Luke also scored on a 62-yard interception return and made seven tackles for the Spartans, who led 27-6 at halftime.

Logan DeLong caught 10 passes for 102 yards and three touchdowns for Cimarron, and teammate Briana Callejo rushed for 67 yards and a TD.

Foothill 13, Chaparral 7 — At Chaparral, Taeondra Johnson rushed for two touchdowns as the Falcons rallied to top the Cowboys in overtime.

Jadyn McArthur passed for 224 yards for the Falcons.

Chaparral’s Neshaune’ Franklin had 97 yards rushing on 10 carries, including a 60-yard scoring run that gave the Cowboys a 7-0 halftime lead.

Centennial 26, Arbor View 24 — At Arbor View, Aaliyah Wyrick caught two touchdown passes as the Bulldogs edged the Aggies.

Wyrick had TD receptions of 10 and 45 yards, both from Kaina Sai. Angela Franco and Ashley Marshall added TD runs for Centennial.

Arbor View’s Francesca D’Arienzo rushed for 163 yards and a touchdown.

Boulder City 20, Green Valley 6 — At Boulder City, Jeanne Carmell rushed for 200 yards and threw two touchdown passes to lead the Eagles over the Gators.

Carmell completed 17 of 23 passes for 144 yards.

Kinsey Smyth caught both TD passes, and Paige Buettner added a rushing touchdown for Boulder City.

Alison Thorne caught a 33-yard touchdown pass from Adelia Sigala for Green Valley.

Carolina Velasquez led the Gators’ offense with eight catches for 90 yards. Sigala completed 6 of 9 passes for 97 yards.

Desert Oasis 25, Clark 6 — At Clark, Kylee Bauer passed for 235 yards and a touchdown and rushed for a score as the Diamondbacks beat the Chargers.

Izriah Hodson added a rushing TD for the Diamondbacks, and Gemma Perez returned an interception 33 yards for a score.

Stephany Navarrete-Chavez caught a 60-yard TD pass for Clark.

Virgin Valley 27, Western 6 — At Western, the Bulldogs beat the Warriors.
