FLAG FOOTBALL: Kalama connects with Tuilaki late to lift Patriots

Pualani Tuilaki caught a 25-yard touchdown strike from Jaira Kalama with four seconds left to lift Liberty’s flag football team to a 25-20 home victory over Foothill on Wednesday.

The Patriots trailed 20-19 with 44 seconds left and drove the length of the field for the winning score.

Kalama finished with 194 yards passing and four touchdowns, and Tuilaki caught three TD passes.

Lauren Surick added 90 receiving yards with a touchdown for Liberty.

Green Valley 32, Silverado 27 — At Silverado, Adelia Sigala intercepted a pass at Green Valley’s 2-yard line with 13 seconds to play to seal the Gators’ win over the Skyhawks.

Sigala also had eight catches for 90 yards and a touchdown for the Gators, and teammate Jinger Meuir added 82 rushing yards and two TDs. Isabela Cipili was 18 of 31 for 222 yards and two touchdowns for Green Valley, which led 26-7 at halftime.

Las Vegas 13, Basic 0 — At Las Vegas, Paulina Franco threw for 130 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Wildcats over the Wolves.

Danielle Ruesch had five catches for 65 yards and a touchdown for Las Vegas. Lizette Camacho had nine tackles for the Wildcats, and teammate Kaila Barney intercepted a pass late in the game to help seal the win.

Mojave 6, Chaparral 0 — At Mojave, Raven Williams ripped off a 35-yard touchdown run in the second half to lift the Rattlers over the Cowboys.

Kimberly Gonzalez had eight tackles, and teammate Tassanee Harris added five tackles for Mojave.

Eldorado 6, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, the Sundevils scored in the second half to edge the Pioneers.

D’Naya Brown and Leticia Godoy-Pacheco each had 12 tackles for Canyon Springs. Brown intercepted a pass, and Godoy-Pacheco had a sack.

Tech 18, Desert Pines 12 — At Desert Pines, the Roadrunners stormed out to a 18-0 halftime lead and held on to defeat the Jaguars.

Desert Pines’ Francis Jackson rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns.

Rancho 21, Sunrise Mountain 7 — At Sunrise Mountain, the Rams scored two second-half touchdowns to beat the Miners.

Sunrise Mountain’s Carmella Nash had a 60-yard TD catch in the first half, and the game was tied at 7 at the break.

Boulder City 18, Valley 13 — At Valley, the Eagles led 12-6 at halftime and held on for the victory over the Vikings.

Del Sol 33, Coronado 12 — At Del Sol, the Dragons led 12-0 at the half en route to the win over the Cougars.
