FLAG FOOTBALL: Howie’s three TD tosses help Aggies top Mustangs

Taylor Howie threw three touchdown passes Thursday to help Arbor View’s flag football team to a 36-19 home win over Shadow Ridge.

Howie completed 10 of 13 passes for 180 yards for the Aggies.

Frankie D’Arienzo rushed for 145 yards on 18 carries, and Mia D’Arienzo added 65 yards on 12 carries for Arbor View.

Sierra Vista 31, Cheyenne 6 — At Cheyenne, Neomi Vazquez threw for 278 yards and four touchdowns as the Mountain Lions routed the Desert Shields.

Vladan Lazic caught three TD passes and racked up 178 receiving yards for Sierra Vista, which also got 165 rushing yards and a touchdown from Anye Drummond. Anna Montemalo also hauled in a TD pass for the Mountain Lions.

Green Valley 27, Las Vegas 6 — At Green Valley, Morgan Gibson tossed two touchdown passes and ran for a score to lead the Gators past the Wildcats.

Gibson completed 15 of 23 passes for 213 yards and rushed for 43 yards on five carries.

Tamara Grieves and Carolina Velazquez each caught a touchdown pass for Green Valley. Adelia Sigala had 101 yards on five catches for Green Valley, which also got a touchdown run from Dawn Mosley.

Las Vegas’ Cierra Turner had five catches for 64 yards and a touchdown.

Rancho 34, Canyon Springs 26 — At Canyon Springs, Divyne Camberos rushed for 178 yards and returned two interceptions for touchdowns to help the Rams top the Pioneers.

Sharisse Nagatori rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns, and Ayann Kadir also scored a touchdown for Rancho.

Tea Rivera was 6-for-14 passing for 141 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for a score for Canyon Springs. Sydney Morris and Amaya Youngblood each caught a touchdown pass, and Arielle Strong had a rushing TD for the Pioneers.

Valley 25, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Brandie Barton scored two touchdowns to lead the Vikings by the Miners.

Fantija Williams and Ivanya Garcia each added a touchdown for Valley.

Spring Valley 20, Moapa Valley 7 — At Overton, the Grizzlies scored three second-half touchdowns on its way to a win over the Pirates.

Amberlynn Twigg completed 16 of 32 passes for 189 yards and two TDs, and rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown for Spring Valley.

Twigg also had seven tackles and two interceptions on defense.

Inger Venterink scored Moapa Valley’s touchdown.
