FLAG FOOTBALL: Hennessy Elkins’ two TD catches power Green Valley

Bella Cipili completed 11 of 17 passes for 114 yards, including two touchdown passes to Hennessy Elkins, as the Green Valley flag football team used 19 second-half points to down Desert Oasis on the road, 26-13.

Deborah Grant rushed for 93 yards and a score on 12 carries, and teammate Christina Mayberry had a rushing TD for Green Valley.

Elkins finished with 89 yards on seven catches, and Mayberry provided 13 tackles, two interceptions and a sack.

Aniyah Reed led Desert Oasis with eight receptions for 126 yards and two touchdowns.

Makayla Rickard went 20-for-28 for 254 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions for the Diamondbacks. She also had a team-best 62 yards rushing on seven carries.

Liberty 14, Durango 6 — At Liberty, Iliani Oliveira had a second-half rushing touchdown to lift the Patriots over the Trailblazers.

Rianna Baliza supplied a rushing TD in the first half for Liberty, which got two extra points from Deone Stoop. Elizabeth Branigan had three interceptions for the Patriots.

Phranky Gonzales hauled in a TD pass from Hailley Favorite for Durango.

Tech 28, Silverado 19 — At Tech, Avery Rayos had 150 yards and a touchdown receiving as the Roadrunners held off the Skyhawks.

Katy Orellana threw a 60-yard touchdown pass to Rayos after Silverado failed to convert a two-point conversion that would have tied the game.

Orellana threw three touchdowns, with Natasha Franklin and Esme Villamin also hauling in scores.

Western 13, Clark 7 — At Clark, Fabray Elam rushed for 170 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries as the Warriors held off the Chargers.

Michellea Haynes intercepted two passes, and Brenda Hernandez had seven tackles for Western.

Junhee Bae had a rushing touchdown for Clark.

Legacy 31, Moapa Valley 13 — At Legacy, Tahnaja Perry ran for 57 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Longhorns by the Pirates.

Jalyn Joule threw for 188 yards and two touchdowns for Legacy, and Malaysia Lee-Montgomery ran for a score.

Legacy’s Qaylee Baker-Judie and Heaven Flowers each had interceptions.

Cimarron-Memorial 42, Del Sol 20 — At Cimarron, Tiarra Del Rosario threw four touchdown passes and rushed for one as the Spartans took down the Dragons.

Alyssa Karpinski had 190 receiving yards and two touchdowns for Cimarron, and teammate Logan Delong had 71 receiving yards and two scores.

Elizabeth Asoau led the Cimarron defense with nine tackles and a sack. Maya Bethea had five tackles and two interceptions.

Tarika Poullard ran for 125 yards on 12 carries to lead the Dragons. Sierra Brooks ran for two scores, and Angel Jones added a rushing touchdown for Del Sol.

Cheyenne 48, Eldorado 8 — At Eldorado, Angela Hammond had four receiving touchdowns to lead the Desert Shields in a rout of the Sundevils.

Lanita Steel and Eileen Contreras ran in touchdowns for Cheyenne.

Devyn Swain rushed for a score for Eldorado.

Arbor View 33, Virgin Valley 28 — At Mesquite, the Aggies defeated the Bulldogs.
