FLAG FOOTBALL: Dominique Korschinowski shows off on defense in road win for Desert Oasis

Desert Oasis senior Dominique Korchinowski forced a first-half safety that proved to be the difference on Tuesday as the Diamondbacks earned a 15-13 road win over Durango.

Korschinowski was a force on defense with seven tackles and three sacks in addition to her safety.

Izriah Hodson rushed 14 times for 135 yards for the Diamondbacks, including an 80-yard touchdown run in the first half.

Makayla Rickard was 6-for-11 passing for 95 yards, including a touchdown pass to Leiana Macusi.

For Durango, Deszarai Bellender rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown, and Kiana-Capri Wilcox rushed for 112 yards and a TD.

Boulder City 19, Tech 12 — At Boulder City, Taylor Tenney completed 10 of 13 passes for 85 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 63 yards and a score on nine carries to lift the Eagles over the Roadrunners.

Tenney also had four tackles and an interception.

Emily Mull and Aimee Finn each caught a TD pass, and Kenadee Bailey had 12 tackles and one sack for Boulder City.

Bonanza 31, Clark 20 — At Bonanza, Brianna Hernandez-Silva had 20 rushes for 208 yards and four touchdowns and completed 10 passes for 102 yards and one TD to lead the Bengals.

Alicia Kestner caught five passes, including a touchdown, for Bonanza.

Laura Valle had four tackles and a sack for the Bengals.

Las Vegas 26, Valley 7 — At Las Vegas, Kaitlyn Horstdaniel completed 12 of 22 passes for 160 yards and four touchdowns to power the Wildcats past the Vikings.

Anna Dobbins had four catches for 71 yards and two touchdowns, and teammate Natalie Gennuso added four receptions for 54 yards and a score for Las Vegas, which got a receiving TD from Megan Adamson.

Kiura Shipman supplied 12 carries for 88 yards, and Skyla Faught had an interception for the Wildcats.

Virgin Valley 33, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, the Bulldogs shut out the Cowboys.

Chaparral quarterback Alyssa Porras completed three passes for 32 yards.

Porras and Angelica Rivera each had seven tackles, and teammate Ashley Lauria recorded a sack.

Sierra Vista 35, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Courtney O’Neal supplied three rushing touchdowns as the Mountain Lions routed the Grizzlies.

Quarterback Kalei Watkins tossed two TD passes. Ryan Watkins and Jamie Kalaau-Sunia each caught a TD pass for Sierra Vista, which raced out to a 21-0 halftime advantage.
