FLAG FOOTBALL: Canfield’s three TD tosses lift Centennial over Cimarron
Zshalyn Canfield tossed three touchdown passes Wednesday to help Centennial’s flag football team to a 32-26 win over visiting Cimarron-Memorial.
Canfield completed 13 of 22 passes for 155 yards. Tiana Bonds caught two touchdown passes and ran for a score, and Taylor Reeves also had a TD catch for Centennial.
Ashley Marshall rushed for a touchdown for the Bulldogs.
Del Sol 20, Coronado 6 — At Coronado, the Dragons scored twice in the second half to top the Cougars.
Coronado’s Heaven Lucero ran for a touchdown, and Kylie Keyer had 125 rushing yards for the Cougars.
Desert Oasis 32, Bonanza 6 — At Bonanza, Kylee Bauer tossed four touchdown passes to Kayla Saucedo as the Diamondbacks routed the Bengals.
Bauer completed 14 of 33 passes for 283 yards. Saucedo, who also ran for a score, caught six passes for 98 yards, and Sydni Aldan added 100 yards on three catches for Desert Oasis.
Ty Baskerfield rushed for Bonanza’s touchdown.
Basic 12, Eldorado 6 — At Basic, Katie Frost tossed touchdown passes to Jasmine Bolanos and Paige Blake to lift the Wolves over the Sundevils.
Legacy 27, Clark 6 — At Clark, Shardell Purdy rushed for two touchdowns and threw a touchdown pass to lead the Longhorns by the Chargers.
Tavia Wells caught a touchdown pass for Legacy.
Stephanie Chavez scored Clark’s touchdown.
Foothill 39, Chaparral 12 — At Chaparral, Sam Fennell threw for 284 yards and three touchdowns as the Falcons rolled past the Cowboys.
Fennell completed 21 of 34 passes. Emily Russell caught eight passes for 98 yards and a touchdown, and Heidi Koehler and RaeAnn Brems also hauled in a touchdown pass for Foothill.
Korina Bush ran for 75 yards and a touchdown on five carries, and Jadyn McArthur ran for a score for Foothill.
Tatiana Kirkwood rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns for Chaparral.
Virgin Valley 7, Mojave 6 — At Mojave, Dylan Brandt’s touchdown pass to Riley Heath in the first half lifted the Bulldogs by the Rattlers.
Dilyn Johnson ran for Mojave’s touchdown.
