FLAG FOOTBALL: Canfield throws five TD passes in Centennial win

Zshalyn Canfield tossed five touchdown passes Tuesday to lead Centennial’s flag football team to a 32-14 win at Clark.

Canfield completed 12 of 23 passes for 264 yards.

Tiana Bonds caught five passes for 127 yards and two touchdowns, and Brittney Karst, Shelby Neubeck and Miriah Mallad also hauled in scoring passes for the Bulldogs.

Bryanna Thompson led Centennial’s defense with 10 tackles and one interception.

Stephanie Chavez had a rushing touchdown and returned an interception for a score for Clark.

Coronado 13, Chaparral 12 — At Chaparral, Kylie Keyer had 87 rushing yards and 74 receiving yards to lead the Cougars over the Cowboys.

Neshaune Franklin had a 45-yard touchdown run for Chaparral.

Foothill 20, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, quarterback Sam Fennell was 23-for-38 passing for 273 yards and three touchdowns to guide the Falcons to victory over the Patriots.

Marissa Brackett had eight catches for 91 yards and two TDs, and Renee Ritchie added four catches for 50 yards and a score for Foothill.

Boulder City 31, Eldorado 6 — At Boulder City, Jeanne Carmell threw a touchdown pass, ran for a score and returned an interception for another touchdown as the Eagles routed the Sundevils.

Carmell opened Boulder City’s scoring with a 30-yard interception return. She added an 8-yard TD pass to Kinsey Smyth and scored on a 40-yard run.

Smyth also returned an interception for a score, and Paige Buettner added a touchdown run for Boulder City.

Cimarron-Memorial 52, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Jaymee Luke threw for 185 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 86 yards and a score to lead the Spartans to a rout over the Rattlers.

DeShan Cambrit supplied six catches for 99 yards and two TDs, and Logan DeLong provided six catches for 94 yards and two scores for Cimarron, which got a 52-yard TD reception, nine tackles and an interception from Liz Adams.

Desert Oasis 39, Western 0 — At Western, Kylee Bauer threw for 365 yards and four touchdowns as the Diamondbacks rolled by the Warriors.

Bauer completed 18 of 29 passes. Briona Viloria had five receptions for 156 yards and two touchdowns, and Kayla Saucedo added four catches for 67 yards and two scores. Saucedo also rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown on four carries.

Cienah Reed returned an interception for a touchdown for Desert Oasis.

Legacy 19, Virgin Valley 0 — At Mesquite, Avi’Ana Shelton rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns as the Longhorns blanked the Bulldogs.

Shelton, who had 14 carries, has rushed for 1,091 yards this season.

Tavia Wells added a touchdown catch and two interceptions for Legacy.
