FLAG FOOTBALL: Brockett’s TD tosses power Wildcats over Pioneers

Kali Brockett threw three touchdown passes Wednesday to lead Las Vegas High’s flag football team to an 18-13 win over visiting Canyon Springs.

Brockett completed 22 of 32 passes for 228 yards. Danielle Ruesch had seven catches for 84 yards and two TDs, and Cierra Turner caught six passes for 68 yards and a touchdown for the Wildcats.

Tea Rivera rushed for a touchdown for the Pioneers.

Arbor View 12, Palo Verde 7 — At Palo Verde, Mia D’Arienzo’s touchdown on Arbor View’s final drive gave the Aggies a win over the Panthers.

Kayla Stephens caught five passes for 101 yards for Arbor View.

Shakira Conley had 12 tackles for the Aggies, who stopped Palo Verde at the 3-yard line as time expired.

Cydnee Bush had a touchdown run for Palo Verde, which led 7-6 at halftime.

Valley 47, Desert Pines 13 — At Valley, Brandie Barton and Ivy Garcia each scored two touchdowns to lead the Vikings over the Jaguars.

DaNiece Dixon, Kayla Steiner and Paige Tarr each added a touchdown for Valley.

Desert Pines’ Melissa Benford ran for a touchdown and threw a touchdown pass to Paola Espino. Mariyah Espinoza rushed for 188 yards on 10 carries for the Jaguars.

Cheyenne 26, Spring Valley 20 — At Spring Valley, Ly’Brina Shelton scored three touchdowns as the Desert Shields nipped the Grizzlies.

Doris Gutierrez-Hoyos caught two touchdown passes for Spring Valley.

Sierra Vista 27, Moapa Valley 12 — At Overton, Anye Drummond rushed for three touchdowns as the Mountain Lions defeated the Pirates.

Shayla Pratt had two rushing TDs for Moapa Valley.

Shadow Ridge 27, Durango 6 — At Durango, Alexia Murrietta tossed three touchdown passes to help the Mustangs beat the Trailblazers.

Joryan Brewer had a 13-yard interception return for a touchdown and caught a 25-yard TD pass for Shadow Ridge.

Allie Ortega and Taylor Velarde each added a receiving TD for the Mustangs.

Amanda Maloney caught a touchdown pass for Durango.

Silverado 24, Sunrise Mountain 6 — At Sunrise Mountain, Danielle Parven threw two touchdown passes and ran for two scores to spark the Skyhawks to victory over the Miners.

Xitlaly Manzo rushed for a touchdown for Sunrise Mountain.

Green Valley 21, Rancho 0 — At Green Valley, quarterback Morgan Gibson was 17-for-23 for 185 yards and three touchdowns as the Gators blanked the Rams.

Tamera Grieves caught seven passes for 80 yards and two TDs, and Adelia Sigala caught a touchdown pass for Green Valley.
