FLAG FOOTBALL: Alyssa Karpinski’s TD catch in OT lifts Cimarron over Cheyenne

Cimarron-Memorial’s Alyssa Karpinski caught a 10-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Tiarra Del Rosario in overtime Wednesday to lift the Spartans’ flag football team to a 26-20 win over visiting Cheyenne.

Logan DeLong caught 23 passes for 261 yards and three TDs from Del Rosario for Cimarron, which trailed 20-13 late in the second half.

Arbor View 13, Liberty 12 — At Liberty, Bella Jorgensen and Alexah Carbajal each ran for a touchdown as the Aggies nipped the Patriots.

Marissa Pupo had a 60-yard TD run, and Xenos Reagans caught a score from Adalina Wright for Liberty.

Shadow Ridge 52, Western 18 — At Shadow Ridge, Jordan Ford had 10 carries for 244 yards and five touchdowns to power the Mustangs past the Warriors.

Samantha Milanovich had five receptions for 118 yards and a TD, and Gabby Martinez had an interception and five tackles for Shadow Ridge, which led 26-0 at halftime.

Fabray Elam had 26 carries for 259 yards for Western.

Rancho 35, Spring Valley 21 — At Spring Valley, Katerina Anthony completed 10 of 14 passes for 168 yards and a touchdown and ran for 112 yards and two scores to lead the Rams by the Grizzlies.

Christina Parada had 10 carries for 102 yards and TD and added a 60-yard TD catch. Talaya Williams had four carries for 50 yards and a score for Rancho, which led 21-13 at halftime.

Spring Valley quarterback Vivian Quiroz-Montano completed 18 of 25 passes for 236 yards and three touchdowns.

Del Sol 39, Clark 13 — At Del Sol, Angel Jones was 13-for-25 passing for 220 yards and four touchdowns to lift the Dragons over the Chargers.

Sierra Brooks had seven carries for 105 yards, and Johana Galvan had two TD catches for Del Sol.

Tarika Poullard and Melisa Taugasolo each added a TD catch, and Angel Hodges scored on a 48-yard run for the Dragons.

Las Vegas 53, Desert Pines 7 — At Las Vegas, Kiura Shipman ran for three scores, and Sabrina Saldate added touchdowns rushing and receiving as the Wildcats drubbed the Jaguars.

Natalie Gennuso also grabbed a TD pass for Las Vegas, which led 26-7 at halftime.

Desert Oasis 27, Valley 6 — At Valley, Makayla Rickard completed 19 of 26 passes for 266 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Diamondbacks over the Vikings.

Lillyana Ghanem had seven catches for 142 yards, including touchdowns of 30 and 15 yards, for Desert Oasis.

Georgia Sykes had scoring catches of 13 and 11 yards and finished with seven receptions for 71 yards for the Diamondbacks, who led 27-0 at halftime.

Isabella Davis threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Heather Robinson for Valley’s lone score.

Green Valley 41, Mojave 6 — At Green Valley, Deborah Grant ran for 200 yards and two touchdowns on nine attempts to lead the Gators to a rout of the Rattlers.

Grant scored on runs of 60 and 69 yards for Green Valley.

Aniyah Pinaula and Theresa Caruso each had a touchdown run, and Alyson Thorne had an interception return for a TD for the Gators.
