ROUNDUP: Badger leads Centennial girls to perfect score

Sydney Badger won a 3.1-mile race in 20 minutes, 6 seconds to lead Centennial’s girls cross country team to a perfect score of 15 in a three-team meet at home Wednesday.

Centennial’s Savannah Anas took second in 21:36, followed by teammate Arden Holden in 21:48.

Virgin Valley was second with 67 points, followed by Mojave at 72.

Depth leads Clark to victory
At Sierra Vista, Clark used its depth to score 34 points and defeat Bonanza (46), The Meadows (77) and Sierra Vista (78).

The Meadows’ Jeneke Heerema won the 2.5-mile race in 17:13, and teammate Megan Alexander took second in 17:22.

Bonanza’s Emily Adams was third in 17:30.

Vikings win three-team meet
At Eldorado, Valley had four of the top six finishers on its way to 27 points and a victory over Eldorado and Canyon Springs.

Eldorado’s Gaby Vazquez won the 3.1-mile race in 22:59, and Valley’s Kerri Paasche was second in 24:05.

Canyon Springs’ Minniya Wilson took third in 25:38.

Wildcats win four-team meet
At Rancho, Las Vegas had two of the top four finishers on its way to 35 points and a victory over Rancho (51), Chaparral (66) and Desert Pines (96).

Chaparral’s Peyton Hunton won the 2.7-mile race in 22:12.1.

Las Vegas’ Alexis Emmerling was second in 22:52.9, and Rancho’s Emy Rodriguez took third in 23:00.7.

Coss, Roadrunners top Del Sol
At Del Sol, Taylor Coss won a 2.3-mile race in 16:37 to help Tech score a perfect 15 against Del Sol, which did not score as a team.

Tech’s Lizbeth Aguilar was second in 16:53, followed by teammate Michelle Garcia in 18:16.
