ROUNDUP: Withoft paces Arbor View girls in easy victory

Arbor View’s girls cross country team had the top four finishers Tuesday on its way to first place in a four-team meet at Indian Springs.

The Aggies’ Randi Withoft won the 3.1-mile race in 23 minutes, 10 seconds, followed by teammates Kyomi Flammini (23:40), Bailey Warnick (23:40) and Shayla Jenkins (24:07).

Cimarron-Memorial’s Julianna Brooks took fifth in 24:10.

Arbor View won with 17 points, and Cimarron was second with 42 points.

Shadow Ridge dominates in win
At The Meadows, Shadow Ridge had 18 of the top 20 finishers on its way to 21 points and a victory over The Meadows (66), Legacy (70) and Cheyenne (73).

The Meadows’ Jenike Heerema won the 2.7-mile race in 17:57.

Shadow Ridge’s Ciara Jackson took second in 18:57, followed by teammates Gina Ewing-Di Bari (19:06), Kelsie Harper (19:27) and Madison Sanchez (19:36).

Stueve, Gaels win race
At Bishop Gorman, Taylor Stueve covered the 2.5-mile course in 16:19 to lead the Gaels to 19 points and a tri-meet victory.

Gorman’s Alyssa McCullough finished second in 17:15.

Sierra Vista was second with 48 points, and Desert Oasis third at 97.

Depth leads Cougars to victory
At Sonata Park, Coronado had five of the top seven finishers on its way to first place in a three-team meet.

Foothill’s Alyse Vanek won the 2.8-mile race in 18 minutes, 29.3 seconds.
Coronado’s Sara Dort was second in 18:39.9, Kelly Smith third in 18:53.7 and Logan Lucas fourth in 19:01.

Tech’s Taylor Coss took fifth in 19:01.8.

Coronado won with 22 points, followed by Foothill (46) and Tech (67).
