Alec McMillan won a 3.1-mile race in 17 minutes, 56 seconds on Wednesday to lead Valley’s boys cross country team to victory in a three-team meet at Eldorado.
McMillan edged Canyon Springs’ Kevin Beuchat by two seconds. Valley’s Dawson Drake took third in 19:10.
Valley won with 20 points, followed by Canyon Springs (54) and Eldorado (59).
Bahati, Clark dominate meet
At Sierra Vista, Basabose Bahati won a 2.5-mile race in 12:49 to lead Clark to victory in a four-team meet.
Clark won with 24 points, followed by Bonanza (38), Sierra Vista (105) and The Meadows (130).
Clark’s Mucuranyana Amon took second in 14:04, and Bonanza’s Robert Rudd third in 14:38.
Lawrence leads Roadrunners to win
At Del Sol, Ken Lawrence won a 2.3-mile race in 13:20 to lead Tech to a 21-38 victory over the Dragons.
Del Sol’s Nick Priego was second in 13:33.1, followed by Tech’s Zach Zimdars in 13:58.
Bulldogs blanket finish line, roll to victory
At Centennial, Nick Hartle led a line of four Bulldog runners across the finish line as Centennial claimed the top five scoring spots and breezed to a win in a three-team meet.
Centennial scored the minimum 15 points. Virgin Valley took second with 50, followed by Mojave with 85.
Hartle completed the 2.6-mile race in 14:55. Jackson Carter was one second back, and teammates George Espino and Tyler Hilt each had a time of 14:57.
