League: Class 3A Sunrise

Head coach: Gary Watkins, eighth season

Returning lettermen: Seven

Top athletes: Nathaniel Thompson (Sr.), Jerrick Stastny (Jr.), Sam Jolley (So.), Preston Humes (Fr.), Bryton Dorsey (Jr.)

Outlook: The Pirates bring back seven lettermen, including a handful of runners who competed in the Class 3A state meet.

“We are looking to qualify for state again this year,” Watkins said. “We have some seasoned athletes who will lead this team to the state competition again.”
