ROUNDUP: Leong, Roadrunner boys roll Sundevils to open postseason

Dallas Leong rolled a 288 game inside his 704 series Monday to lead Tech’s boys bowling team to a 9-0 win over Eldorado in the Sunrise Region quarterfinals at The Orleans.

The Roadrunners will meet Northeast League champion Chaparral in the region semifinals Wednesday. Chaparral was a 9-0 winner over Silverado.

The other semifinal will pit Coronado against Southeast League champion Green Valley. The Cougars downed Rancho, 7-2 and the Gators swept Las Vegas, 9-0.

Green Valley’s Aaron Watkins rolled a 263 game.

Arbor View’s Austin Schliedt spun a 266 game in leading the Northwest League champion Aggies to a 9-0 shutout of Bonanza in the Sunset Region quarterfinals.

Arbor View will meet Shadow Ridge — a 7-2 winner over Desert Oasis — in one semifinal.

Centennial, which rolled the team high game of 874 and the team best series with 2,382 pins, was a 7-2 winner over Durango and will meet Southwest League champion Spring Valley on Wednesday. The Grizzlies swept Palo Verde, 9-0.
