ROUNDUP: Ventling, Wildcats top Panthers

Matti Ventling scored 25 pionts on Monday to lead Las Vegas High’s girls basketball team to a 69-56 road win over Palo Verde.

Shomari Harris added 21 points for the Wildcats, who led 33-27 at the half.

Paulina Silcox paced Palo Verde with 15 points. Nallah Thomas added 13 points for the Panthers, who got 12 points from Jade Garcia-Williams.

Green Valley 53, Desert Pines 32 — At Desert Pines, the Gators jumped out to a 17-1 lead after one quarter and rolled past the Jaguars.

Rianna Rudolph had 15 points to lead Green Valley, which led 30-10 at the half. Maggie Manwarren added 11 points for the Gators.

Cydney Myles scored 12 for Desert Pines, which was 10-for-33 from the foul line.

Canyon Springs 69, Shadow Ridge 12 —
At Canyon Springs, Daijhan Cooks had 24 points and 20 rebounds to help the Pioneers rout the Mustangs.

Alexia Thrower added 18 points and 17 rebounds for Canyon Springs, which led 41-9 at the half.

Cherise Beynon had nine points and nine assists for the Pioneers.

Bishop Gorman 66, Cimarron-Memorial 35 —
At Gorman, Raychel Stanley and April Rivers each scored 25 points to lead the Gaels over the Spartans.

Emily Cox scored 11 points for Cimarron.

Calvary Chapel 57, Lake Mead 37 — At Calvary Chapel, Chloe Hammond scored 23 points to lead the Lions over the Eagles.

Taylor Badua-Kono scored 20 points for Lake Mead.
