Roundup: Tasia Moore’s bucket gives Cimarron win over Faith Lutheran

Tasia Moore’s basket with 2.3 seconds to play gave Cimarron-Memorial’s girls basketball team a 58-56 road win over Faith Lutheran on Friday.

Moore finished with 32 points, and Yesenia Wesley-Nash scored nine for the Spartans, who trailed 30-21 at the half.

Madison Bocobo had 21 points to lead the Crusaders. She now has 1,017 points for her career.

Kayla Proctor and Kelsey Howryla each had 10 points for Faith Lutheran.

Coronado 58, Green Valley 53 — At Coronado, Haley Tyrell had 20 points and five assists to lead the Cougars past the Gators.

Aeryn Hawkins added 16 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots for Coronado, which went 23-for-30 from the free-throw line.

Lusi Soifua scored 19 points to lead the Gators. Julia Clark added 10 points for Green Valley.

Arbor View 55, Palo Verde 43 — At Palo Verde, Alaysia Reed scored 13 points to lead the Aggies past the Panthers.

Autumn Westmoreland added nine points for the Arbor View, which outscored the Panthers 12-4 in the first quarter.

Ariana Davis scored a game-high 18 points to lead Palo Verde, and teammate Maya Bega added 11 points.

Mojave 47, Cheyenne 40 — At Cheyenne, Alecia Davis’ 21 points led all scorers and powered the Rattlers over the Desert Shields.

Kiara Lemon had 12 points for the Rattlers.

Teionni McDaniel had 15 points for Cheyenne, and teammate Almond Slayton scored 11.

Canyon Springs 66, Chaparral 45 — At Canyon Springs, Jeanette Fine scored 14 points to lead the Pioneers past the Cowboys.

Ke’Ajanae Haley added 13 points, and Destini Hunter scored 10 for Canyon Springs, which went 23-for-30 from the free-throw line.

Emani White had 13 points to lead Chaparral.

Liberty 76, Foothill 37 — At Liberty, Rae Burrell had 18 points, 12 rebounds and five steals to lead the Patriots over the Falcons.

Dre’una Edwards added 12 points, 13 rebounds and three blocked shots, and London Pavlica added 12 points, seven rebounds, six assists and 10 steals for Liberty.

Trinity Vasquez had 12 points and seven rebounds for the Patriots.

Pahrump Valley 53, Desert Pines 27 — At Pahrump, Alyvia Briscoe had 15 points and five assists as the Trojans beat the Jaguars.

Kylie Stritenberger added nine points and 15 rebounds for Pahrump, which used a 13-2 third-quarter run to pull away.

Trisa Butler and Shardaye Hopkins each had nine points for Desert Pines.

Western 67, Sunrise Mountain 27 — At Sunrise Mountain, Teresa Capa scored 20 points to lead the Warriors in a rout of the Miners.

Adrianna Jones scored 11 points, and Millani Johnson had 10 points for the Warriors, who opened the game on a 23-1 run.

Ciara Smith scored 13 points to lead the Miners, and teammate Laila Whittington added 10 points.

Bishop Gorman 56, Durango 14 — At Durango, Georgia Ohiaeri had 14 points as the Gaels beat the Trailblazers.

Olivia Smith and Tierney Holcombe each added eight points for Gorman, which led 17-4 after one quarter.

Dar’Juanah Harris had seven points to lead Durango.

Lincoln County 42, Needles 29 — At Needles, California, Brynlee Wadsworth had 15 points to lead the Lynx over the Mustangs.

Sadie Soderborg added 11 points for Lincoln county, which moved to 13-0 in the Class 2A Southern League.

Marie Mills led Needles (11-2) with 13 points.

Laughlin 40, Mountain View 19 — At Mountain View, Lori Morgan scored 16 points as the Cougars beat the Saints.

Jasmine Donnett added eight points for Laughlin, which limited Mountain View to two points in each of the final two quarters.

Jordan Spriggs had 10 points, and Sydney Stanton scored nine for the Saints.
