Roundup: Sharmayne Finley scores 45 in Democracy Prep’s overtime win

Sharmayne Finley scored a game-high 45 points Friday to lead Democracy Prep’s girls basketball team to a 64-60 overtime victory over host Needles.

Paige Murch had 30 points and Preslee Murch had 15 for Needles, which scored 24 points in the fourth quarter to force overtime.

Cimarron-Memorial 64, Arbor View 60 — At Arbor View, Tasia Moore’s 29 points powered the Spartans over the Aggies.

Amoura Whitney added 11 points for the Spartans.

Alaysia Reed scored 18 points for the Aggies, and Autumn Westmoreland scored 10.

Green Valley 39, Desert Pines 38 — At Desert Pines, Temerity Bauer scored 14 points to lead the Gators past the Jaguars.

Julia Clark added eight points for Green Valley, which led 39-35 before the Jaguars hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Destiny Weathers and Elasjanae Burns each scored 12 points to lead the Jaguars.

Foothill 51, Rancho 40 — At Rancho, Bri Rosales scored 11 points to lead Foothill past the Rams.

Lea Williams scored a game-high 14 points for Rancho, which was 9 of 23 from the free-throw line.

Aqui Williams and Emily Capps scored eight points apiece for the Falcons.

Faith Lutheran 59, Shadow Ridge 41 — At Faith Lutheran, Madison Bocobo led all scorers with 17 points as the Crusaders defeated the Mustangs.

Crusaders’ Kayla Proctor also scored 12 points and Kendall Larson scored 10 points.

Mustangs’ Christina Thames led the team with 12 points and Caitlyn Covington also scored 10 points.

Chaparral 62, Silverado 44 — At Chaparral, Riahana Davis led all scorers with 24 points as the Cowboys downed the Skyhawks.

Brizeida Mora had 14 points for the Cowboys, and Emani White had 13.

Jessica Guzman scored 15 to lead the Skyhawks.

Tech 26, Sunrise Mountain 14 — At Tech, Jazlyn Domingo-Naval led all scorers with nine points as the Roadrunners defeated the Miners.

Miners’ Trinity Lavoll led the team with seven points.

Coronado 77, Las Vegas 32 — At Coronado, Aeryn Hawkins scored 20 points to lead the Cougars in a rout of the Wildcats.

Haley Tyrell added 19 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for Coronado, which started the game on a 25-3 first-quarter run.

Jade Thomas scored 10 points and had a game-high 11 rebounds for the Cougars.

Xeda Regala scored 12 points to lead the Wildcats, while her teammate Alexiz Jenkins added 10 points.

Centennial 72, Palo Verde 28 — At Centennial, the Bulldogs had four players score in double figures as they rolled past the Panthers.

Bulldogs wing Daejah Phillips led the team with 14 points, Aishah Brown scored 12 points, Justice Ethridge scored 11 points, and Jade Thomas scored 10 points.

Ariana Davis led the Panthers in scoring with 12 points.

Moapa Valley 46, Dixie (Utah) 43 — At Mesquite, Kaitlyn Anderson scored 12 points to lead the Pirates past the Flyers in the Lady Bulldog Invitational.

Shelbi Walker added 10 points for Moapa Valley, which used a 10-4 fourth-quarter run to win the game.

Pahrump Valley 43, Wells 33 — At Mesquite, Alyvia Briscoe led the Trojans with 11 points as they defeated the Leopards in the Lady Bulldog Invitational.

Panguitch (Utah) 55, Mojave 32 — At Mesquite, Kiara Lemon scored 13 points for the Rattlers, but they lost to the Bobcats in the Lady Bulldog Invitational.

Alecia Kelly scored 10 for the Rattlers.

Lincoln County 51, Calvary Chapel 26 — At Calvary Chapel, Kailey Kelley scored 17 points to lead the Lynx over the Lions.

Kylee Cameron added 11 points for the Lynx.

Tyra Perkins led the Lions with 11 points.

Lake Mead 53, Laughlin 47 — At Lake Mead, Josey White scored 17 points to lead the Eagles past the Cougars.

Shelbi Shaw scored 12 points, and Allee Butz scored 11 points for Lake Mead, which took control of the game with a 17-4 third-quarter run.

Lori Morgan scored 16 points to lead the Cougars, while her teammate Savannah Santillano added 10 points.
