ROUNDUP: Porter drives Valley past Coronado

Shayna Porter had 14 points Tuesday to lead Valley’s girls basketball team to a 51-46 win over visiting Coronado.

Christina Davis and Brianna Johnson each scored 12 points for Valley, which made 17 of 22 free throws.

Sofie Cruz led Coronado with 15 points.

Liberty 66, Canyon Springs 58 — At Canyon Springs, Amanda Delgado scored 16 points, and Jade Washington added 15 points to help lift the Patriots past the Pioneers.

Alena Evans supplied 13 points for Liberty, which outscored Canyon Springs 22-10 in the third quarter.

Kenosha Wright led Canyon Springs with 18 points. Faith Harper added 11 points and Pearl Paulo 10 for the Pioneers.

Centennial 81, Chaparral 8 — At Centennial, Courtney Hayes had 14 points, nine steals and six assists to lead the Bulldogs in a rout of the Cowboys.

Ashley Klemz scored 18 points, Shannon Brown contributed 13, and Denajha Kie supplied 12 for Centennial.

Green Valley 72, Las Vegas 56 — At Las Vegas High, Angelica Mack scored 27 points, and the Gators raced to a 29-14 first-quarter lead en route to a win over the Wildcats.

Mackenzie Butler added 18 points for Green Valley.

Shomari Harris paced Las Vegas with 19 points, and Natresha Bernard added 10 points for the Wildcats.

Foothill 69, Desert Pines 29 — At Desert Pines, Cheryl Harless scored 18 points, and the Falcons jumped out to leads of 33-11 at the half and 52-13 after three quarters on their way to an easy win.

Emily Cox and Julie Harless each added 10 points for Foothill.

Ta’Quiyyah Boyles paced Desert Pines with eight points.

Silverado 61, Moapa Valley 43 — At Overton, Jessica Meyers scored 11 of her 18 points in the second half to help the Skyhawks down the Pirates.

Tae’lor Monroe supplied 12 points, and Brittany Loguidice added nine points for Silverado.

Ashley Noto led the Pirates with 11 points, and Chanel LaCroix had nine points for the Pirates.

Virgin Valley 54, Tech 44 — At Mesquite, Jenelle Weythman scored 21 points to power the Bulldogs past the Roadrunners.

Rachel Morris added 13 points for Virgin Valley.

Mesha Phillips scored 28 points for Tech, which was outscored 13-2 in the third quarter.

Boulder City 51, Del Sol 24 — At Del Sol, Karlee Koopman had 13 points, and the Eagles bolted to a 23-8 halftime lead on their way to a rout of the Dragons.

Kim Chischillie had eight points for Del Sol.

Mountain View 43, Pahranagat Valley 33 — At Mountain View, Patrice Marshall scored 19 points, and the Saints used a 15-5 fourth-quarter run to pull away from the Panthers. 

Briana Marruffo added 17 points for Mountain View.

Halie Lewis led the Panthers with 14 points.

Lake Mead 52, Laughlin 29 — At Laughlin, Jordan Clarke scored 22 points to lift the Eagles past the Cougars.

Colleen Zumaran had 11 points, and Taylor Badua-Kono added 10 points for Lake Mead.

Diana Duraco and Ruby Mackey each scored six points for Laughlin.

Needles 51, Parker (Ariz.) 19 — At Parker, Ariz., Gena Chavira led all scorers with 36 points, and the Mustangs ran out to an 18-0 lead after one quarter and went on to rout Parker.

Abby Chandler added eight points for Needles.

Shawni Laffoon led Parker with 10 points.

Indian Springs 32, The Meadows 25 — At The Meadows, Tessa Lounsbury had 10 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Thunderbirds past the Mustangs.

Heather Thormahlen had 10 points and 11 steals for Indian Springs.
