ROUNDUP: Phillips tallies 21 as Tech girls hold off Basic

Mesha Philliips scored a game-high 21 points Thursday to lead Tech’s girls basketball team to a 49-42 road victory over Basic.

Adriana Heredia added 19 points for the Roadrunners, who outscored the Wolves 29-18 in the middle quarters.

Kailai Brantner led Basic with 17 points.

Las Vegas 62, Rancho 53 — At Las Vegas, Daresheoun Lee scored 18 points to lead the Wildcats past the Rams.

Matti Ventling had 16 points, and Shomari Harris scored 11 for Las Vegas, which used a 22-12 edge in the fourth quarter to pull away.

Tryicia Payne paced Rancho with 23 points. Anneli Torres added 14 points for the Rams, and teammate Miyah Wilson scored 10.

Foothill 59, Silverado 36 — At Foothill, the Falcons outscored the Skyhawks 33-15 in the second half to pull away.

Julie Harless led Foothill with 17 points, and Breanna Frazer scored 10 for the Falcons.

Taylor Collins added four points and eight blocked shots.

Jessica Meyers had 12 points and Diamondique Wright 10 for Silverado.

Desert Pines 37, Sunrise Mountain 33 — At Desert Pines, TaQuiyyah Boyles scored 14 points to help the Jaguars hold off a late rally by the Miners.

Kiana Alexander added 11 points for Desert Pines, which led 33-19 heading into the fourth quarter.

Takeyra Ingram led Sunrise Mountain with 11 points.

Cheyenne 60, Cimarron-Memorial 48 — At Cheyenne, Britnee Shaw scored 24 points to help the Desert Shields rally from an early deficit to beat the Spartans.

Amanda Fluker and Taylor Bosley each added 11 points for Cheyenne, which trailed 15-13 after one quarter.

Traci Parks led Cimarron with 23 points.

Valley 78, Eldorado 27 — At Eldorado, Christina Davis had 14 points and 10 rebounds as the Vikings routed the Sundevils.

Shayna Porter added 14 points, six assists and four steals, and Brianna Johnson supplied 12 points and seven steals for Valley. Estelle Wilson and Kennedy Wharton each scored 10 for the Vikings.

Johnnie Green led Eldorado with 10 points.

Canyon Springs 54, Chaparral 21 — At Chaparral, Kenosha Wright scored 13 points to help the Pioneers rout the Cowboys.

Cherise Beynom, Faith Harper and Bianca Johnson each added eight points for Desert Pines.

Jacquie Ferguson led Chaparral with 12 points.

Coronado 44, Del Sol 18 — At Del Sol, Sarah Dexter scored 14 points to help the Cougars cruise past the Dragons.

Sofie Cruz added 11 points for Coronado, which rolled to a 21-5 halftime lead.

Brittany Collins and Mara Watkins each scored five points to lead Del Sol.

Virgin Valley 43, Pahranagat Valley 41 — At Mesquite, Rachel Morris scored the go-ahead basket with less than 30 seconds left to give the Bulldogs a win over the Panthers.

Morris led Virgin Valley with 16 points, seven rebounds and two blocked shots.

Jenelle Weythman had eight points and seven rebounds for the Bulldogs, and teammate Madison Bowler added eight points and four assists.

Halie Lewis led Pahranagat Valley with 14 points, and teammate Dakota Day scored 10.
