Roundup: Mojave girls edge Pahrump Valley

Savannah Blanchard-Davis had 17 points as Mojave’s girls basketball team edged host Pahrump Valley 43-41 on Thursday.

Kiara Lemon scored 15 points for the Rattlers, who rallied from a 28-21 deficit in the fourth quarter.

Alyvia Briscoe scored 11 points to lead the Trojans.

Palo Verde 62, Faith Lutheran 50 — At Faith Lutheran, Alyssa Maillaro scored a game-high 26 points to power the Panthers past the Crusaders.

Ariana Davis had 16 points, and Maya Bega scored 14 for Palo Verde, which used a 25-15 fourth-quarter run to pull away.

Ellery Wilson scored 10 points for Faith Lutheran. Kendall Larson and Clara Heislen each supplied nine points for the Crusaders.

Cimarron-Memorial 70, Shadow Ridge 58 — At Shadow Ridge, Amoura Whitney scored 20 points as the Spartans downed the Mustangs.

Tasia Moore had 13 points, and Elise Young scored 11 for Cimarron.

Caitlyn Covington scored 12 points, and teammate Amaia McCoy had 10 points for Shadow Ridge.

Liberty 71, Green Valley 27 — At Liberty, Dre’una Edwards had 25 points, 11 rebounds and 10 steals as the Patriots rolled past the Gators.

Rae Burrell supplied 17 points, 10 rebounds and six steals for Liberty, which got 16 points and five steals from London Pavlica.

Shelby Clark scored eight points to lead Green Valley.

Foothill 48, Silverado 22 — At Silverado, Jailyn Johnson scored 13 points to lead the Falcons past the Skyhawks.

Laurel Rockwood added eight points for Foothill, which started the game on a 15-3 run.

Jessica Guzman scored seven points to lead Silverado.

Western 43, Cheyenne 38 — At Cheyenne, Adrianna Jones scored 18 points to lead the Warriors to a victory over the Desert Shields.

Teresa Chapa and Gecsel Avila each added eight points for Western.

Teionni McDaniel scored a game-high 23 points to lead Cheyenne.

Coronado 69, Basic 32 — At Coronado, Haley Tyrell had 14 points and 13 rebounds as the Cougars rolled past the Wolves.

Aeryn Hawkins added 14 points, and Sade Williams scored 13 for Coronado, which led 23-6 after one quarter.

Mikayla Berg led Basic with nine points.

Spring Valley 72, Durango 27 — At Spring Valley, Jalynn Webster had 14 points and 10 rebounds as the Grizzlies routed the Trailblazers.

Kayla Harris had 13 points for Spring Valley. Essence Booker had 11 points, and Alexus Quaadman scored 10 for the Grizzlies.

Laila Loring led Durango with eight points.

Desert Pines 41, Sunrise Mountain 27 — At Sunrise Mountain, Trisa Butler scored 16 points to lift the Jaguars over the Miners.

Elasjanae Burns had 14 points, and teammate Cheryl Edenfield added 13 points for Desert Pines.

Dior Griffith-Brown scored nine points to lead Sunrise Mountain.

Needles 53, Calvary Chapel 15 — At Needles, Jasmine Mejia scored 14 points to lead the Mustangs in a rout of the Lions.

Paige Murch added 10 points for Needles, which outscored Calvary Chapel 18-4 in the first quarter.

Jialing Monaco scored five points to lead the Lions.

Democracy Prep 68, Adelson School 3 — At Democracy Prep, Sharmayne Finley had 35 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Blue Knights in a rout of the Lions.

Adelson School didn’t make a field goal.

Lake Mead 48, The Meadows 18 — At The Meadows, Josey White scored 14 points to help the Eagles defeat the Mustangs.

Lauryn Freund added 10 points for Lake Mead, which raced to a 29-12 halftime lead.

Avery Kokinda led The Meadows with nine points.

Laughlin 50, GV Christian 28 — At Laughlin, the Cougars defeated the Guardians.

4A/3A girls state roundup: Legacy, Canyon Springs ousted

Legacy and Canyon Springs couldn’t keep up in the Class 4A girls basketball state semifinals. The Southern Region representatives in 3A also were eliminated.
