ROUNDUP: Markwardt shoots Mountain View past West Wendover

Ellie Markwardt hit 12 of 13 free throws and finished with 28 points Saturday to lead the visiting Mountain View girls basketball team to a 42-24 win over West Wendover.

Zari Riley added 11 rebounds for the Saints, who put away the game by outscoring the Wolverines 16-6 in the fourth quarter.

Mountain View held West Wendover leading scorer Danika Sharp, who entered the game averaging 31.1 points per game, to nine points.

Lincoln County 50, White Pine 43 — At Ely, Marissa Smerek scored 20 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to help Lincoln County down the Bobcats.

Maicah LeBaron added 11 points for the Lynx, who trailed 19-18 at the half.

Eleven different players scored for White Pine.

Tonopah 32, Lake Mead 28 — At Tonopah, Alex Phillips had 11 points and 13 rebounds as the Muckers held off the Eagles.

Amanda O’Donnell added nine points and 12 rebounds for Tonopah.

Jordan Clarke led Lake Mead with seven points.

Bishop Gorman 59, Eastlake (Calif.) 37 — At Eastlake, Calif., Dannielle Diamant led four double-figure scorers with 19 points as the Gaels cruised to a win.

Aaryn Ellenberg added 16 points for Gorman. Chelsie Pitt and Yahindra Edwards each scored 10.

Round Mountain 53, Henderson International 18 — At Round Mountain, the Knights cruised past Henderson International.
