ROUNDUP: Kearn lifts Desert Oasis girls to first-ever playoff appearance

Tatiana Kearn had 21 points Monday to lead Desert Oasis’ girls basketball team to a 53-39 road win over Pahrump Valley to secure the first playoff berth in the school’s short history.

Kearn hit three 3-pointers in the third quarter to help the Diamondbacks extend their lead to 40-23.

Alyson Kunzi led Pahrump with 19 points.

Mojave 65, Shadow Ridge 40 — At Mojave, Jazzmine Robinson had 16 points, 15 rebounds, seven steals and six assists to lead the Rattlers past the Mustangs.

Jazmine Pedraza added 17 points for Mojave, and teammate Jasmine Gardner supplied 11 points and four steals.

Angeline Almagure had 10 points for Shadow Ridge, which had 10 players in the scoring column.

Rancho 39, Chaparral 34 — At Chaparral, Trycia Payne scored 16 to help the Rams get past the Cowboys and punch a playoff ticket.

Erica Johnson added 12 points for Rancho, which outscored Chaparral 18-4 in the third quarter to take control.

Octavia Gray led the Cowboys with 13 points.

Las Vegas 65, Desert Pines 49 — At Las Vegas High, Shomari Harris tallied 23 points, and the Wildcats used an 18-3 run in the third quarter to put away the Jaguars.

TaQuiyyah Boyles scored 22 points to lead Desert Pines, and Leslie White had 11 points.

Western 75, Spring Valley 51 — At Western, Naz Lockett and Brittany Moreland each had 17 points, and the Warriors outscored the Grizzlies 47-26 in the second half on the way to an easy win.

Brandi Jackson added 16 points, and Jocelyn Jordan scored 10 for Western.

Jessica Stevens led Spring Valley with 16 points.

Faith Lutheran 38, Arbor View 29 — At Arbor View, Kelsey McCourt scored 12 points to help the Crusaders top the Aggies.

Taylor Hammer had 10 points for Faith Lutheran.

Arbor View’s Jena Valenzuela led all scorers with 15 points.

Durango 57, Bonanza 25 — At Bonanza, Jasmine Thomas had 15 points to help the Trailblazers cruise past the Bengals.

Cindy Klinhom added 12 points for Durango, which outscored Bonanza 20-3 in the third quarter.

Denetrius Martin paced the Bengals with 10 points, and teammate Tranee Jenkins scored nine.

Centennial 60, Cheyenne 13 — At Centennial, Breanna Workman had 17 points as the Bulldogs clinched at least a share of the Northwest League title with a rout of the Desert Shields.

Centennial led 56-8 at the half and cruised to the win, as neither team scored in the third quarter.

Bishop Gorman 71, Clark 24 — At Clark, April Rivers had 24 points as the Gaels secured the outright Southwest League regular-season title by routing the Chargers.

Zhane Dikes added 18 points, and Amber Lane scored 11 for Gorman.
