Roundup: Kadrena Johnson’s basket gives Palo Verde win over Bonanza

Kadrena Johnson’s basket with five seconds to play Tuesday gave Palo Verde’s girls basketball team a 34-32 home win over Bonanza.

Johnson of Palo Verde made a shot with 15 seconds to play to tie the game at 32. She finished with 10 points to lead the Panthers.

Sade Booker had 20 points for the Bengals.

Coronado 53, Foothill 52 — At Coronado, Tia Thornton scored 16 points as the Cougars edged the Falcons.

Gabbie Etopio added12 points for Coronado.

Maddy Beckham scored 22 points, and Aqui Williams scored 11 points for Foothill.

Faith Lutheran 66, Cimarron-Memorial 58 — At Faith Lutheran, Kelsey Howryla scored 22 points as the Crusaders held off the Spartans.

Quianna Brown had 19 points, and Taylor Etopio added 19 points for Faith Lutheran, which sank 24 free throws.

Yesenia Wesley-Nash scored 31 points, and Elise Young tallied 16 points for Cimarron.

Virgin Valley 45, Boulder City 40 — At Virgin Valley, Alexis Boatright had 17 points as the Bulldogs topped the Eagles.

Sydney Ludvigson scored 12 points for Virgin Valley.

Ellie Howard scored 17 points for Boulder City.

Moapa Valley 55, Sunrise Mountain 40 — At Sunrise Mountain, Kaitlyn Andersonhad 21 points to help lead the Pirates past the Miners.

Lainey Cornwall had 15 points for Moapa Valley, which used a 19-5 third quarter run to take control.

Aiyana Ramirez scored 15 points, and Markaila McCurdy had 14 points to pace Sunrise Mountain.

Liberty 64, Basic 33 — At Basic, Journie Augmon tallied 14 points, and Starr Walker scored 10 as the Patriots cruised past the Wolves.

Alexss Parker, Shaleina Bird, and Joy Watkins each scored seven points for Liberty, which ran to a 41-15 halftime lead.

Jasmine Richardson scored a game-high 16 points for Basic.

Centennial 84, Arbor View 26 — At Arbor View, Aishah Brown scored 22 points as the Bulldogs routed the Aggies.

Daejah Phillips added 17 points, and Eboni Walker scored 13 for Centennial, which led 54-9 at the half.

Naomi Hammonds and Alina Oranchak each had eight points for Arbor View.

Green Valley 60, Tech 26 — At Tech, Nyla Rodriguez, Shelby Clark, and Michelle Lagunas-Monroy each scored 10 points as the Gators easily dispatched the Roadrunners.

Rian Anderson and Amore Espino each added nine points for Green Valley, which led 24-14 at halftime.

Tayler Muwwakkil led Tech with 15 points.

Chaparral 54, Sky Pointe 21 — At Chaparral, Emani White scored 11 points as the Cowboys defeated the Eagles 54-21.

Jayden Sanders scored 11 points for Sky Pointe.

Shadow Ridge 56, Rancho 15 — At Shadow Ridge, Jamia Carter scored 18 points to help the Mustangs blitz the Rams.

Caitlyn Covington added 16 points for Shadow Ridge, which led 15-0 after one quarter and 30-7 at the half.

Kristal Sullivan led Rancho with six points.

Needles 57, Laughlin 26 — At Laughlin, Valentina Limon and Marie Mills each had 16 points as the Mustangs defeated the Cougars.

Paige Murch added 14 for Needles, which led 35-13 at halftime.

Laughlin’s Ashley Bishop led all scorers with 18 points.

Calvary Chapel 56, Mountain View 10 — At Calvary Chapel, Midajah McCarty scored 14 of her 20 points in the second quarter to help the Lions pull away from the Saints.

Yara Bouharb added 11 points for Calvary Chapel, which led 38-3 at the half.

Amani Reece led Mountain View with six points.

Lincoln County 58, Adelson School 6 — At Adelson School, Sadie Soderberg scored 19 points as the Lynx routed the Lions.

Kendra Matthews and Alexis Long each supplied 10 points for Lincoln County, which led 31-0 at halftime.
