Roundup: Isis Triplett lifts Shadow Ridge over Palo Valo

Isis Triplett scored 25 points to help Shadow Ridge’s girls basketball team rally for a 68-65 road win over Palo Verde on Wednesday.

Vashay Young and Paula Agu each supplied 11 points for the Mustangs, who trailed 45-41 entering the fourth quarter.

Ariana Davis had 28 points for Palo Verde. Alyssa Maillaro had 14 points, and Maya Bega scored 10 for the Panthers.

Coronado 47, Green Valley 36 — At Green Valley, Aeryn Hawkins scored 16 points as the Cougars held off the Gators.

Coronado led 15-5 after one quarter, but Green Valley fought back and took a 37-36 lead in the fourth quarter before the Cougars pulled away.

Haley Tyrell and Gabbie Etopio each added eight points for Coronado.

Temerity Bauer led the Gators with 15 points.

Basic 48, Silverado 39 — At Basic, Jasmine Richardson scored a game-high 17 points as the Wolves downed the Skyhawks.

Lauren Powell grabbed 15 rebounds to go with seven points, and Alexus Lea supplied nine points and seven rebounds for Basic.

Jessica Guzman scored 15 points to lead Silverado.

Cheyenne 60, Mojave 43 — At Mojave, Teionni McDaniel poured in 25 points to lead the Desert Shields to an easy win over the Rattlers.

Brielle Jefferson added nine points for Cheyenne, which led 26-16 at halftime.

Chania Scott led Mojave with 13 points.

Liberty 68, Foothill 21 — At Foothill, Dre’una Edwards had 20 points, 11 rebounds and five assists, and teammate Rae Burrell supplied 18 points, 13 rebounds and seven steals to power the Patriots past the Falcons.

Trinity Vasquez had 10 points and five rebounds for Liberty, which raced out to a 46-17 halftime lead. The win was the 100th for Liberty coach Chad Kapanui.

Kaysey Williams scored six points to lead Foothill.

Pahrump Valley 44, Desert Pines 31 — At Desert Pines, Samantha Runnion scored 10 points, and teammate Jacquellen Stobbe had nine points as the Trojans defeated the Jaguars.

Alyvia Briscoe added eight points for Pahrump, which outscored Desert Pines 18-7 over the middle quarters.

Trisa Butler scored 14 points to lead the Jaguars, who got seven points apiece from Destiny Weathers and Kailani Paulino.

Centennial 82, Arbor View 21 — At Centennial, Justice Ethridge scored 17 of her 21 points in the first quarter, and the Bulldogs rolled past the Aggies.

Eboni Walker added 13 points for Centennial, which led 40-9 after one quarter.

Alaysia Reed had 11 points for Arbor View.

Western 55, Sunrise Mountain 17 — At Western, Teresa Chapa scored a game-high 20 points as the Warriors rolled past the Miners.

Adrianna Jones had 11 points, and Kiara Rinfrow added nine points for Western, which made five 3-pointers.

Laila Washington scored six points to pace Sunrise Mountain.

4A/3A girls state roundup: Legacy, Canyon Springs ousted

Legacy and Canyon Springs couldn’t keep up in the Class 4A girls basketball state semifinals. The Southern Region representatives in 3A also were eliminated.
