ROUNDUP: Heredia’s 3-pointer allows Tech to nip Wolves

Tech’s Adriana Heredia hit a 3-pointer in the final minute to break a 47-47 tie and give the Roadrunners a 50-47 road win over Basic on Tuesday.

After the teams traded turnovers, Basic set up a potential game-tying 3-pointer, but the shot was no good.

Mesha Phillips had 19 points to pace Tech. Heredia added 16 points for the Roadrunners.

Marquichea Burns led Basic with 20 points. Michaela Thomas scored 10 for the Wolves.

Silverado 49, Foothill 48 — At Foothill, Shea Collins scored 22 points as the Skyhawks held off the Falcons.

Alena Evans added 11 points for Silverado.

Foothill trailed by three before Desirae Ayala’s last-second 2-pointer.

Alysse Thummel had 17 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead Foothill. Ayala added 11 points and Mercedes Starr 10 for the Falcons.

Green Valley 55, Liberty 48 — At Green Valley, Jazmine Jarvis scored 18 points to help the Gators outlast the Patriots.

Sarah Pickus and Danielle Christenson each added 13 points for Green Valley. Vajae Robinson had 18 rebounds and five blocked shots for the Gators.

Amanda Delgado paced the Patriots with 24 points, and teammate Daynice Cochran scored 10.

Desert Oasis 43, Spring Valley 40 — At Desert Oasis, Auburn Smith went 2-for-2 at the free-throw line in the final 30 seconds after an intentional foul on the Grizzlies to lift the Diamondbacks to the win.

Smith scored nine points to lead Desert Oasis, which had nine players score.

Alexis Caulk had eight points and eight rebounds and Trini Morgan added five points and 10 rebounds for Desert Oasis.

The Diamondbacks hit six 3-pointers to overcome 13-for-33 shooting from the free-throw line.

Adrianna Flores led Spring Valley with 16 points.

Legacy 48, Arbor View 39 — At Legacy, Kindrea Poole had 13 points, 16 rebounds and three blocked shots to lift the Longhorns over the Aggies.

Arbor View cut Legacy’s lead to three points with four minutes left before the Longhorns went on a 6-0 run to pull away.

Breanah Manley scored 14 points and Jessika Kirvin had 11 points and eight rebounds for Legacy.

Taylor Shields led Arbor View with 11 points.

Palo Verde 48, Mojave 33 — At Mojave, Hayley Henderson and Jasmin Kiley each scored 15 points to help the Panthers beat the Rattlers.

Palo Verde led 32-27 before outscoring Mojave 16-6 in the fourth quarter. Jazzmine Robinson led the Rattlers with 13 points.

Durango 88, Western 56 — At Western, Mia Bell had 37 points, including five 3-pointers, as the Trailblazers beat the Warriors.

Jasmine Suarez hit four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points for Durango. Cherelle Hicks added 10 points for the Trailblazers.

Daresheoyn Lee led Western with 16 points. Michelle Simon had 15 points and Melanie Russell 14 for the Warriors.

Cheyenne 67, Shadow Ridge 26 — At Shadow Ridge, Taryn Hicks and Sabrina King each had 16 points as the Desert Shields rolled past the Mustangs.

LaVetta Glaze added 10 points for Cheyenne.

Nikki Lawson led Shadow Ridge with 12 points. Corinne Owens and Alyssa Pagala each had 10 rebounds for the Mustangs.

Centennial 89, Cimarron-Memorial 30 — At Centennial, Alexis Byrd scored 21 points, and the Bulldogs jumped to a 50-21 halftime lead on their way to an easy win over the Spartans.

Courtney Hayes and Johnna Brown each added 15 points for Centennial, which outscored Cimarron 21-1 in the third quarter.
 
Deanna Daniels added 13 points and Ashley Klemz 11 for the Bulldogs.

Courtney Carter and Catherine Wyre each scored seven points for the Spartans.

Coronado 45, Del Sol 30 — At Del Sol, Sarah Dexter scored a game-high 19 points to help the Cougars over the Dragons.

Amy Austin had 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead Del Sol.

Sierra Vista 66, Clark 22 — At Clark, Kim Rouzer had 15 points to help the Lions down the Chargers.

Teena Baxter added 12 points for Sierra Vista.

Angelena Cook led Clark with eight points, and Tarah Murph pulled down 19 rebounds for the Chargers.

Eldorado 58, Canyon Springs 25 — At Eldorado, Sabrina Evans had 13 points and 22 rebounds to lead the Sundevils past the Pioneers.

Gianna Lafayette had 15 points for Eldorado, which used a 19-2 third-quarter run to put away the game.

Diamond Broadus led the Canyon Springs with nine points.

Mountain View 41, The Meadows 12 — At Mountain View, Ellie Markwardt had 20 points and eight steals to help the Saints defeat the Mustangs.

Mountain View led 14-0 after one quarter.

Needles 69, Agassi Prep 33 — At Needles, Calif., Alex Chandler and Gena Chavira each had 14 points, and the Mustangs opened up a 41-10 halftime lead en route to the win.

Miranda Brackett added 10 points and 10 rebounds for Needles. Chrystian Dick also scored 10 points.
