Roundup: Haley Tyrell, Coronado edge Gorman

Haley Tyrell scored a team-high 19 points Friday as Coronado’s girls basketball team edged visiting Bishop Gorman, 47-46.

Aeryn Hawkins chipped in with 13 points for the Cougars, who made 18 of 27 free throws.

Olivia Smith scored a game-high 21 points for the Gaels.

Faith Lutheran 57, Canyon Springs 53 — At Canyon Springs, Kayla Proctor led all scorers with 19 points as the Crusaders earn the victory over the Pioneers.

Faith Lutheran’s Madison Bocobo added 13 points, and teammate Kelsey Howryla scored 12.

Iyani Hayden led Canyon Springs with 14 points, and Jeanette Fine added 13 points for the Pioneers.

Rancho 64, Valley 36 — At Rancho, Kyndal Ricks had 36 points and 12 rebounds to help the Rams demolish the Vikings.

Saipress Jones added nine points for Rancho, which led 34-14 at the half.

Jeuzel Pollins had a team-high 13 points for Valley.

Las Vegas 34, Eldorado 28 — At Las Vegas High, the Wildcats forced 22 turnovers as they defeated the Sundevils.

Alexiz Jenkins led Las Vegas with 19 points and six assists.

LaDavia Pierson paced Eldorado with 10 points.

Moapa Valley 59, Virgin Valley 43 — At Mesquite, Lainey Cornwall scored 36 points to lead the Pirates past the Bulldogs.

Kaitlyn Anderson added 11 points for the Pirates, who outscored the Bulldogs 24-7 in the fourth quarter to beak open a tight game.

Nathalie Lagamayo scored 10 points to lead Virgin Valley.

Chaparral 47, Del Sol 24 — At Del Sol, Emani White scored 16 points, and Riahana Davis scored 14 points as the Cowboys defeated the Dragons.

Markay Merchant led Del Sol with eight points.

Pahrump Valley 44, Sunrise Mountain 23 — At Pahrump, Kylie Stritenberger led all scorers with 14 points as the Trojans beat the Miners.

Kathryn Daffer scored 10 points for Pahrump, which used a 15-4 second-quarter run to take control.

Cheryl Edenfield led Sunrise Mountain with eight points.

Lincoln County 57, Calvary Chapel 22 — At Panaca, Sadie Soderberg and Brooklyn Hafen each scored 14 points to lead the Lynx past the Lions.

Brynlee Wadsworth added 10 points for the Lynx, who outscored the Lions 24-6 in the third quarter to blow the game open.

Tyra Perkins and Jialing Monaco each scored 10 points to lead the Lions, who scored 15 of their 22 points from the free-throw line.

Tech 50, GV Christian 37 — At Tech, Jazlyn Domingo-Naval scored 21 points to lead the Roadrunners past the Guardians.

Makenna Faught and Claira Eaton each scored seven points for Tech, which led 27-17 at the half.

Hope Watson scored 14 points to lead GV Christian, and teammate Chloe Lamb added 10 points.

Democracy Prep 40, Needles 36 — At Democracy Prep, Sharmayne Finley led all scorers with 25 points to lead the Blue Knights to a victory over the Mustangs.

Paige Murch led the Mustangs with 17 points.

Boulder City 54, Sky Pointe 8 — At Boulder City, Keely Alexander had 13 points as Boulder City rolled.

Tonopah 48, Sandy Valley 33 — At Sandy Valley, the Muckers used a 17-8 third-quarter burst to down the Sidewinders.
