Roundup: Green Valley squeaks by Palo Verde in overtime

Temerity Bauer scored 17 points, and Julia Clark had 16 points and 13 rebounds as Green Valley’s girls basketball team earned a 67-62 overtime win over visiting Palo Verde on Tuesday.

Samara Miller added 15 points, and Rian Anderson grabbed 15 rebounds for Green Valley.

Palo Verde’s Alyssa Mailaro led all scorers with 25 points, and teammate Ariana Davis scored 22.

Moapa Valley 52, Virgin Valley 42 — At Overton, the Pirates opened the game on an 18-4 run and topped the Bulldogs.

Lainey Cornwall had 17 points, and Kaitlyn Anderson scored 15 for Moapa Valley, which led 44-24 after three quarters.

Nathalie Lagamayo scored 16 to lead Virgin Valley. Taylor Barnum and Savannah Price each added 10 points for the Bulldogs.

Canyon Springs 51, Durango 41 — At Durango, Kayla Rossum scored 12 points to help the Pioneers defeat the Trailblazers.

Jeanette Fine added 10 points for Canyon Springs, which led 29-18 at halftime.

Durango’s Dar’Juanah Harris led all scorers with 18 point, and teammate Laila Loring scored 12.

Foothill 38, Desert Pines 29 — At Desert Pines, Taylor Bair scored seven points as the Falcons defeated the Jaguars.

Aqui Williams and Kaysey Williams each added six points for Foothill, which used a 10-3 second quarter run to take control.

Elasjanae Burns had seven points to pace Desert Pines.

Desert Oasis 73, Clark 25 — At Clark, Jordyn Stroud scored 16 points to lead the Diamondbacks to an easy win over the Chargers.

Ahmaya Smith had 14 points, and Dajaah Lightfoot added 13 points for Desert Oasis, which outscored Clark 39-5 in the second half.

Clark’s Marieka Dent scored nine points, and Adia Williams had eight points for the Chargers.

Sierra Vista 55, Bonanza 21 — At Sierra Vista, Shania Harper had 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Mountain Lions past Bonanza.

Kerianne Reilly and Miranda Acosta led the Bengals with five points apiece.

Valley 49, Silverado 39 — At Silverado, Jeuzel Pollins had 13 of her 17 points in the second half to lead the Vikings past the Skyhawks.

Kiara Brown added 15 points for Valley, which led 27-19 at the half.

Kimber Tanner led Silverado with 15 points, and teammate Yasmine Noor scored 10.

Chaparral 45, Del Sol 26 — At Chaparral, Riahana Davis scored 13 points and had 11 steals as the Cowboys routed the Dragons.

Erika Neal added 12 points for Chaparral, which had 27 total steals.

Lajaei West scored eight points to lead Del Sol.

Rancho 61, Basic 49 — At Rancho, Kyndal Ricks scored 21 points to help the Rams down the Wolves.

Ricks shot 13 of 17 from the free-throw line.

Aleese Hall added 12 points, and Lea Williams scored 10 for Rancho.

Mikayla Berg led Basic with 18 points, and teammate Jasmine Richardson scored 11.

Mojave 54, Tech 16 — At Mojave, Kiara Lemon scored 16 points as the Rattlers dominated the Roadrunners.

Jasmine Kaufman added 10 points for Mojave, which cruised to a 38-11 halftime lead.

Jazlyn Domingo-Naval scored six points for Tech.

Needles 45, Lake Mead 31 — At Needles, Paige Murch had 22 points to power the Mustangs over the Eagles.

Preslee Murch added 13 points for Needles, which limited Lake Mead to eight first-half points.

Josey white scored 12 to lead Lake Mead.

Democracy Prep 67, Mountain View 14 — At Mountain View, Sharmayne Finley had 19 points, and J’Laiya Regan scored 14 as the Blue Knights rolled past the Saints.

Tyanna Drummond added nine points for Democracy Prep, which held Mountain View scoreless in the second half.

Jordan Spriggs scored 10 points for Mountain View.

Calvary Chapel 59, Adelson School 10 — At Calvary Chapel, Jialing Monaco had 27 points as Calvary Chapel rolled to the win.

Talina Inguanzo added 13 points for Calvary Chapel.

Indian Springs 14, GV Christian 11 — At Indian Springs, Bo DuBray supplied eight points as the Thunderbirds got by the Guardians.

Chloe Lamb led GV Christian with five points.

Laughlin 33, The Meadows 5 — At The Meadows, the Cougars held the Mustangs scoreless in two quarters and rolled to the victory.
