ROUNDUP: Gray helps Chaparral girls hold off Eldorado

Octavia Gray had 20 points and five rebounds Tuesday as Chaparral’s girls basketball team nipped visiting Eldorado, 46-45.

Tichina Savoy added eight points for Chaparral.

Eldorado’s Daniseun Jackson led all scorers with 22 points, and teammate Allyah Swain scored 13.

Rancho 56, Desert Pines 46 — At Desert Pines, LaKissa Martin had 14 points to help the Rams top the Jaguars.

Jordon Williams added 13 points, and Darje Martin scored 11 for Rancho.

Cydney Myles paced Desert Pines with 15 points, and teammate Kiana Alexander scored 12.

Foothill 61, Basic 37 — At Foothill, Bri Higgins had 11 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots to help the Falcons rout the Wolves.

Julie Harless and Christina Nash each supplied 13 points for Foothill.

Kailai Brantner led Basic with 12 points.

Valley 70, Sunrise Mountain 30 — At Sunrise Mountain, Makayla Hicks scored 16 points, and NayNay Thomas had 15 points to help the Vikings to a rout of the Miners.

Kennedy Wharton and Tyricia Payne each added 12 points for Valley, which jumped out to a 25-3 lead after the first quarter.

Tiara Veal posted 11 points, and Da’Nisha Wedlow scored 10 for Sunrise Mountain.

Green Valley 65, Del Sol 24 — At Green Valley, Angelica Mack had 16 points and 13 rebounds to help the Gators roll past the Dragons.

Maggie Manwarren added 13 points and four assists for Green Valley, which bolted to a 27-6 first-quarter lead.

Rianna Rudolph scored 11 points and Jill Harland 10 for the Gators, who held Del Sol scoreless in the third quarter.

Liberty 78, Silverado 37 — At Liberty, Alena Evans had 22 points, 11 rebounds, five blocked shots and five steals, and the Patriots bolted to a 22-2 first-quarter lead en route to a win over the Skyhawks.

Dayanni Cochran added 12 points and 12 rebounds, and Tae’lor Monroe scored 12 points for Liberty, which got 10 rebounds from Chanel Nacua.

Jessica Meyers paced Silverado with 15 points.

Coronado 66, Tech 21 — At Coronado, Sofie Cruz had 12 points, and Katie Monaco scored 10 as the Cougars raced past the Roadrunners.

Lexi Melone and Aubre Fortner added eight points apiece for Coronado, which led 22-2 after one quarter and 41-7 at the half.

Kristena Wilson led Tech with seven points.

Pahranagat Valley 60, Lake Mead 22 — At Alamo, Kimberly Lewis had 14 points and eight rebounds to lead the Panthers past the Eagles.

Bailee Hosier added 12 points and Halie Lewis 11 for Pahranagat Valley.

Taylor Badua-Kono led Lake Mead with 16 points.

Indian Springs 49, Oasis Christian 14 — At Indian Springs, Tessa Lounsbury had 10 points and eight rebounds as the Thunderbirds routed the Bulldogs.

Baylee McCormick and Alexxa Reinke each added nine points for Indian Springs.

Laughlin 39, Agassi Prep 29 — At Laughlin, Brooke Lee scored 18 points to lead the Cougars by the Stars.

Shanice Allen paced Agassi Prep with 14 points, and Jada Smith scored 10 for the Stars.
